Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-11. This policy describes what data we collect from visitors to themoneyzone.org and how we use it.
What we collect
- Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, referrer, timestamps) and anonymized analytics about traffic patterns.
- Voluntary information. Anything you give us through a form (email for the newsletter, message on the contact page).
- Cookies. Small files set by your browser to remember preferences and measure aggregate traffic.
What we do not collect
Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into a budget, mortgage, or retirement calculator are never sent to our server and we cannot see them.
How we use it
- To run and improve the site.
- To send the newsletter, if you subscribed.
- To measure which content is most useful so we can write more of it.
Advertising and analytics partners
We use third-party services for advertising and traffic analytics. These services may set their own cookies to measure ad performance and audience characteristics. You can opt out of personalized advertising through industry tools like the DAA WebChoices tool or browser-level "do not track" settings.
Your rights
California residents may request access to or deletion of personal information we hold about them. EU and UK residents have rights under the GDPR. To make a request, email privacy@themoneyzone.org.
Children
The Money Zone is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
